The Twin Cities Vizsla Club was founded in 1980 and recognized by the AKC in 1981. The club’s objectives are 1) to promote the natural qualities of purebred Vizslas; 2) to urge acceptance of the ACK standard as the only standard for the breed; 3) to protect and advance the interests of the breed; and 4) to conduct sanctioned and licensed shows, trials and tests under AKC rules.
The club’s annual events include field trials, AKC hunt tests, and a conformation and obedience specialty show. In addition to these events, the club also schedules field, obedience and conformation tests for the Vizsla Club of America’s Versatility Certificate program, and other activities for the education and enjoyment of Vizsla owners.
